We currently have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to take on the important role of Process Technician. This will be working out of our Water Production Site at Fobney, Reading- RG2 0HP.

You will perform a range of assigned front-line activities including operation, testing, routine checks, maintenance, maintaining site cleanliness, and problem-solving to ensure that services are delivered to time, cost, and quality standards. This will include planned and preventative maintenance of equipment to support the operation of the plant.

You will receive full training for health & safety and plant-related processes. You will join a close-knit team with a family sense and gain invaluable experience from your mentor and the wider team who will ensure you are supported throughout your training and beyond.

Base Location: Reading - Fobney - RG2 0HP.

Working Pattern: Monday-Friday 7:30-15:36, 38 hours per week including working on a standby rota where you will receive additional payment.

What you'll be doing as a Process Technician (Water)
  • Carrying out scheduled planned maintenance work on plant and equipment in compliance with company standards and procedures to improve plant resilience.
  • Operating and cleaning plant and equipment to ensure on-site operational and health and safety standards are maintained.
  • Completing statutory checks as required.
  • Attending reactive jobs following plant and equipment failure.
  • Keeping sites clean and tidy and undertaking safety and security checks.
  • Always working safely and complying with all Health and Safety guidance and procedures.
What you should bring to the role
  • Be a self-motivated individual who can immerse themselves into the team around them, you need to be very disciplined have the desire to learn from those around you and have a can-do attitude. This role can be demanding at times but very rewarding too.
  • Take Ownership of responding quickly to faults, being curious to fully understand the problem, and identifying the best solution to resolve it the first time.
  • Have excellent communication skills, to interact with the team.
  • Teamwork – We are one team, and our end goals are the same.
  • Proactive – take the lead on recommendations and improvements around the site and communicate effectively.
  • Must be prepared to be trained in safety procedures.
  • Knowledge and awareness of health and safety standards.
