Devon County Council’s Asset Delivery Team is recruiting a full-time Highway Asset Officer, based in the Exeter/Eastern area of the county.  The Highway Asset Officer role is part of a team responsible for the ongoing management and maintenance of Devon’s highway assets. At times, there may be a requirement to work across other areas of Devon as part of the wider Asset Delivery Team. The position involves the following key tasks: Designing and pricing highway maintenance schemes, including (but not limited to) drainage, patching, resurfacing, and footway works, using Term Maintenance and Framework Contracts. Engaging with contractors and stakeholders to assist in the planning and delivery of highway maintenance schemes. Working alongside other Devon County Council teams to understand community needs when planning and delivering highway maintenance schemes. Auditing highway maintenance schemes, including identifying and resolving any remedial works required. Reviewing, managing, and approving payments for highway maintenance schemes. Applying a working knowledge of relevant highway policies and procedures, while maintaining awareness of technical developments and best practices. For an informal chat regarding the role please contact Ian Hyde on 07967 691 093.Internal Applicants, please note: If you are an existing DCC employee, please use your iTrent Employee Self Service (ESS) details to log in and apply.
