The Role:

We are currently seeking a compassionate and dynamic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Felixstowe. In this rewarding role, you will work alongside experienced teachers to provide tailored support to students with a range of additional needs. Your role will be crucial in creating an engaging and nurturing learning environment that fosters each child’s individual growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Support students with special educational needs in the classroom and during activities.
Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
Provide personal care and support where necessary.
Facilitate communication and interaction between students and peers.
Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to adapt resources and learning activities.
Promote positive behavior and encourage social skills development.
Monitor and track student progress and report findings to the teaching staff.
Requirements:

Experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs, is preferred.
A relevant qualification such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant Certificate, CACHE qualification, or equivalent is desirable.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and the ability to inspire students.
A passion for education and a commitment to helping students succeed.
An enhanced DBS check (we can assist with this process).
