The responsibilities of the Business Development Director / VP of Business Development role are as follows:

* Build upon well-established, existing customer programmes with OEMs and Prime OEMs internationally

* Further develop the company’s offering in the MRO aftermarket on existing and new programmes

* Assess market opportunities for new product development and work closely with the engineering teams to develop new aerospace, defence and EVTOL concepts

* Play a lead role in the development of the company’s technology roadmap to align the evolution of the company’s product offering with the future trajectory of the aerospace market

* Be the customer interface for the company during trade shows, customer visits, and ongoing customer relationship management

* Lead the price negotiation, contract management and commercial agreements for all existing and new contracts with international customers

* Assist in the rapid growth of the company with a target to double in size over the next five years

* Travel internationally to support the company’s sales and the further development of sales across the group internationally

The experience required for the Business Development Director / VP of Business Development position are as follows:

* Degree qualified, apprenticeship or equivalent experience in engineering or business management

* Experience in a sales management position within aerospace or defence manufacturing

* Extensive account management/customer interface experience

* Ability to engage with R&D, Engineering and manufacturing during NPI/NPD

* Willing to travel internationally (UK, EU, and US)

* Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
