Maintenance Fitter

TEXO Recruitment have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join the maintenance team of one of our external clients based in Blyth, Northumberland on a permanent basis.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* This is predominantly a day shift position; however, you will be required to work shifts and weekends when necessary.
* Overtime will also be required to cover the needs of the business.
* Due to the nature of the business, you will need to be flexible with a can do attitude.
* You will also be required to assist with the loading/unloading of cargos. Therefore, the successful candidates will be required to learn all aspects of Stevedoring including operating plant & equipment where required.
* Previous experience of working with these types of equipment would be an advantage.
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* This client has an array of cargo handling equipment that includes FLT, Cranes & Heavy Plant; experience of working with these types of equipment both mechanically and electrically would be an advantage.
* Experience working on Diesel Engines (cars, trucks, cranes, FLT's)
* This client is located across four sites, so a full driving license is essential.
* Mechanical NVQ / HNC
* Experience, installing, servicing and repairing mechanical systems and equipment
