About the Role

As a SENCO, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), ensuring they receive the tailored support and resources they need to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:
✔️ Strategic Leadership: Oversee and implement SEND provision in line with school policies and legal requirements.
✔️ Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure students' needs are met.
✔️ Support & Guidance: Provide training and support for staff to develop inclusive teaching practices.
✔️ EHCP Management: Lead the development and review of Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).
✔️ Monitoring & Reporting: Track the progress of students with SEND and ensure the effective use of allocated resources.

What We're Looking For
🔹 Experience: Proven experience as a SENCO or in a leadership role supporting SEND students.
🔹 Qualifications: National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) or equivalent is essential.
🔹 Empathy & Advocacy: A passion for creating inclusive environments and supporting all learners.
🔹 Strong Communication Skills: The ability to collaborate effectively with staff, parents, and external professionals.
🔹 Organisational Expertise: Efficiently manage and implement SEND strategies across a school setting.
