Primary School SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA)

As an SEN TA, you will work closely with the SENCo to ensure the effective delivery of special education provision across the school. You will play a key role in supporting the inclusion of students with additional needs, working together with teaching, staff, and parents.

**This is a ongoing, long-term position**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the assessment and monitoring of students with special educational need, such as autism.
- Work with teachers to implement and review EHCP's (Education, Health and Care Plan).
- Provide guidance and support to teaching staff in adapting curriculum for students with additional needs.

**Requirements**:

- Ideally you will have experience in a similar role, but those without SEN experience may also be considered.
- You may be asked to complete duties across the school, whilst being readily available for the student in question, so flexibility and being adaptable in your approach are essential.
- You must have the ability to work under pressure, have excellent communication skills and be a confident team player.
- Understanding of SEN legislation, policies, and best practices.
- **You will additionally need a DBS on the update service (or willing to get on)**_
