SEN Teaching Assistant - Primary School, Letchworth

We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support a welcoming primary school in Letchworth. This is an excellent opportunity to work with students with special educational needs, helping them to thrive academically and socially in a nurturing environment.

Role Overview:

Provide tailored support to children with various SEN, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and learning difficulties
Collaborate closely with classroom teachers to implement effective interventions and support strategies
Assist in the development and monitoring of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to track student progress
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes confidence and independenceKey Responsibilities:

Offer 1:1 and small group support to SEN students within the classroom and during school activities
Adapt learning materials and teaching approaches to meet individual student needs
Work in partnership with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure holistic support for each child
Contribute to a collaborative team environment that prioritises student well-being and developmentRequirements:

Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably in a primary school setting with SEN students
Understanding of various SEN needs and effective support strategies
Excellent communication skills and a patient, nurturing approach
A proactive attitude and the ability to work collaboratively within a teamWhat's on Offer:
