Graduate Teaching Assistant Position - Pathway to Teacher Training

We are excited to offer a unique opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team in Bridgwater as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, with a pathway to our salaried teacher training program.
About the Role: This two-year program is designed to provide you with comprehensive classroom experience and professional development. In the first year, you will work closely with experienced teachers, supporting students in their learning and contributing to the overall school environment. In the second year, you will transition into a salaried teacher training route, where you will receive structured training and mentorship to achieve Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Key Responsibilities:
Assist classroom teachers with lesson preparation and delivery
Support students individually or in small groups to enhance their learning
Help manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment
Contribute to the planning and execution of school activities and events
Participate in professional development sessions and training programs
Work collaboratively with staff to support the school’s educational objectives
Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in any subject
GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English at grade C/4 or above
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A genuine passion for education and working with young people
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
