Role Highlights Fulltime position in an autismfocused SEN school dedicated to providing highquality education and support to students with autism Collaborate closely with a team of experienced SEN staff to develop and implement individualized support plans that cater to the unique needs of each student Assist students in navigating their daily routines promoting independence and selfconfidence while ensuring a safe and engaging learning environment Foster positive social interactions among students helping them develop communication skills and form meaningful relationships Engage in ongoing professional development and training opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in autism support and inclusive practices Participate in school activities and events that promote awareness and understanding of autism contributing to a positive school culture Experience & Qualifications Proven experience supporting individuals with autism ideally in an educational or SEN environment Strong understanding of autism spectrum conditions and the challenges that students may face with a focus on developing effective support strategies Ability to create a calm structured and engaging learning environment that encourages student participation and growth Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a talent for building trusting relationships with students parents and colleagues A current and clear Enhanced DBS check is essential to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students This is an incredible opportunity for a dedicated Autism Support Worker to make a positive impact on the lives of students at a specialist SEN school in Harlow.
