Autism Support Worker Specialist SEN School Harlow

Role Highlights

  • Fulltime position in an autismfocused SEN school dedicated to providing highquality education and support to students with autism
  • Collaborate closely with a team of experienced SEN staff to develop and implement individualized support plans that cater to the unique needs of each student
  • Assist students in navigating their daily routines promoting independence and selfconfidence while ensuring a safe and engaging learning environment
  • Foster positive social interactions among students helping them develop communication skills and form meaningful relationships

Experience & Qualifications

  • Proven experience supporting individuals with autism ideally in an educational or SEN environment
  • Strong understanding of autism spectrum conditions and the challenges that students may face with a focus on developing effective support strategies
  • Ability to create a calm structured and engaging learning environment that encourages student participation and growth
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a talent for building trusting relationships with students parents and colleagues
  • A current and clear Enhanced DBS check is essential to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students
