Job summary Applications are invited for the post of Clinical Fellow (Higher ST6+/Senior Post-CCT) in Neurovascular Surgery commencing from 06 August 2025 for 12 months.
Main duties of the job The Neurovascular unit at Addenbrooke's provides a service for the entire adult and paediatric population of Cambridge and East Anglia region and beyond; all in all covering a population of approximately 2.5million.The post is suitable for an ST6+ orpost-CCT trainee in Neurosurgery or equivalent, who wants to specialise in neurovascular surgery.
The successful candidate will work with the 4 Neurovascular Surgeons at Addenbrooke's Hospital.
Experience will be gained in all neurosurgical neurovascular conditions, including aneurysm and AVM surgery, EC:IC bypass surgery, cavernoma resection, determined by the clinical workload.
There will be ample opportunity to undertake research projects during the clinical fellowship period.Please note that this post does not carry Postgraduate Dean's approval or training recognition.
Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council at time of application is required.
About us The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC's Good Medical Practice (2013).
