Job summary Applications are invited for a Clinical Fellow (Core) equivalent to FY2-ST2 or Clinical Fellow Higher equivalent to ST3-ST5 or ST6+ in Emergency Medicine at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
These posts are available from 05 February 2025 until 05 August 2025 with the possibility of extending after that time by mutual agreement.
The Emergency Department (ED) at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the biggest in the region seeing over 130,000 patients a year.
The hospital is the Major Trauma Centre for the East of England region covering a wide geographical population and 12 other District hospitals.
There is access to all hospital specialties and all investigative facilities including Ultrasound within the ED.
There is extended supervision and training with Consultant presence from 08:00-03:00 and 24/7 Trainee shop-floor presence.
Main duties of the job The successful applicants will be treated like all other Trainees within the Emergency Department.
They will be assigned an Educational Supervisor and will be able to attend the monthly departmental teaching program.
Experience gained in these posts could be counted in future towards training applications through the CESR-CP pathway.
Applicants must meet the essential criteria outlined in the Person Specification section of the job description for the relevant grade of Fellow post that they are applying for.

Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council at point of application is required.
About us The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC's Good Medical Practice (2013).
