GSL Education are currently working with a secondary school in Portsmouth to recruit a Full-Time Information Technology Teacher to deliver high-quality lessons in IT, computing, and digital literacy to students in Key Stage 3 & 4 .

This role is ideal for Qualified IT Teachers with experience teaching Key Stage 3 & 4 .

Key Responsibilities: Deliver engaging and effective Information Technology lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, covering a range of topics including coding, digital literacy, networking, and online safety.
Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities.
Assess students' progress and provide constructive feedback to support their academic development.
Foster an environment where students feel confident in using technology and develop the skills needed for their future education and careers.
Promote digital citizenship and online safety to ensure students use technology responsibly.
Collaborate with other teaching staff to enhance the IT curriculum and support the school's wider objectives.
Provide support and guidance to students preparing for GCSEs and other qualifications in Information Technology.
Qualifications and Requirements: QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent is essential.
A degree or relevant qualification in Information Technology , Computing , or a related field.
Experience teaching Information Technology at Key Stage 3 and 4 .
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
A passion for teaching and helping students develop their digital skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to the development of the IT curriculum.
Valid Enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education).
An up-to-date CV with two relevant references from the last two years.
Right to work in the UK.
Must be within a 10-mile radius of Portsmouth (PO1, PO10, PO12, PO13).
Skills: Ability to create engaging and interactive IT lessons that inspire students.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students.
A passion for technology and the ability to make it accessible and engaging for young learners.
Familiarity with coding languages , software development , and online safety .
Ability to assess and track students' progress effectively.
