The Schools A range of settings across South Gloucestershire are looking for SEND teaching assistants to work with students that have additional needs.
I have roles coming up in mainstream schools that have specialist units attached, and special schools.
The Roles You will be supporting pupils to develop positive self-regulation skills and improve their engagement with core curriculum subjects.
Some work will be one-to-one, under the guidance of the SENDCo/class teacher.
Students will have established targets which you will be working towards in collaboration with other staff.
Roles available in both primary and secondary settings.
Main Responsibilities Support individual pupils to develop positive self-regulation skills Manage challenging behaviour following the school's approach Deliver planned interventions Ensure pupil safety and welfare is maintained at all times Feedback to SENDCo/class teacher Essential Criteria Prior experience working with young people who have additional needs Ability to build trusting relationships Good listening skills Ability to adapt and use own initiative Patience and resilience Desirable Criteria Team Teach training/experience Education/Teaching Assistant qualification What can Five Education offer you?
