What are we looking for?The role: The Commercial Management Accountant will be responsible for providing financial insights and support to the sales and marketing teams of the business. This position is responsible for preparing financial reports, supporting budgeting and forecasting processes and preparing monthly management accounts.
Key Accountabilities of the role:Act as a financial business partner to the commercial team to ensure accurate and realistic budgeting and forecastingAnalyse financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying areas of improvementMulti-skill with other areas of the finance team to ensure we have cover for all rolesAssist in the preparation of the commercial annual budgets and monthly forecastsPrepare weekly, monthly and annual commercial reports for circulation to the leadership teamPrepare monthly management accounts for two business unitsSupport the commercial sales teams, adding insight and challenge to the budgetingMonitor and report on budget performance, providing insights and recommendationsCollaborate with the sales, marketing and operations teams to prepare detailed costingsAbout You:Working towards a recognised accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)Food manufacturing experienceHighly numerate and literateHigh level of attention to detailExcellent Excel and IT skillsWe believe the most successful teams are formed from a diverse talent pool and we strive to employ a wide variety of individuals in our business, selecting the best qualified person for each role regardless of age, disability, gender, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation or any other protected characteristics.
