Job summary Band 7 Highly Specialised Cardiac Physiologist Cardiac Rhythm Management Based Manchester Royal InfirmaryWe are looking for enthusiastic, committed, dynamic individuals to join our Team at Manchester Foundation Trust who will rotate between sites to provide Cardiac Diagnostic Services both in a large tertiary centre, District General and the community setting.The department offers a full spectrum of Invasive and Non-Invasive cardiac diagnostic investigations and is committed to developing staff and actively developing new roles for service provision.Our mission is to improve the health/quality of life for our patients by building an organisation that develops and invests in the individuals that work here and this can only be achieved with the recruitment of the right people.Any Enquires are welcomed and if you wish to arrange an informal visit of the department do not hesitate to contact us.Flexible working will be considered Main duties of the job Independently practices with a high level of skill and autonomy at Advance Specialist level in cardiac rhythm managementIndependently practices with a high level of skill and autonomy a wide range of other cardiac physiology proceduresProvides effective day-to-day leadership of the cardiac physiology team within the advanced specialist field and other areas when requiredActively participates in practical & theoretical training & development of multidisciplinary healthcare professionals from inside and outside of the organisationParticipates in cardiac & associated medical research as integral to the roleTo undertake any other duties which is deemed appropriate to the band when requested by Principal Cardiac physiologist About us MFT is one of the largest NHS Trust In England with a turnover of £ & is on a different scale than most other NHS Trusts.

Person Specification Education/ Qualifications Essential BSc Clinical Physiology/Healthcare Science MSc Clinical Physiology/Healthcare Science or qualifying long service/experience BHRS or IBHRE in Devices or Electrophysiology Desirable Teaching qualification (T4T, D32) Voluntary State Registration AHCS or HCPC Experience Essential Practical & formal teaching of Cardiac Physiologists and other HCPs Multi-disciplinary teamwork Desirable Minimum of 2 years post qualification experience at Band 6 level Participation in cardiac research Skills Essential Competent to practise a wide range of cardiac physiology diagnostics and interventions Organisation of self and others Leadership skills Communication at all levels Ability to acquire & communicate highly complex knowledge in challenging environments High level analytical & judgement skill IT skills Desirable Management skills Advanced IT skills, data manipulations, etc Knowledge Essential Advanced specialist knowledge in Cardiac Rhythm Management Aptitudes Essential Dynamic, enthusiastic & positiv Team worker Leader Caring, compassionate &discrete Reliable High level stamina, energetic Articulate
