Main duties of the job Independently practices with a high level of skill and autonomy at advanced specialist level within echocardiography.Independently practices with a high level of skill and autonomy a wide range of other cardiac physiology procedures.Provides effective day-to-day leadership of the cardiac physiology team within the advanced specialist field and other areas when required.Actively participates in practical & theoretical training & development of multidisciplinary healthcare professionals from inside and outside of the organisation.Participates in cardiac & associated medical research as integral to the role.Undertakes any other duties which are deemed appropriate to the band when requested by Principal Cardiac Physiologist.

Person Specification Education/Qualifications Essential BSc Clinical Physiology/Healthcare Science MSc Clinical Physiology/Healthcare Science or Equivalent Experience and qualifying long service BSE Accreditation Desirable Voluntary Registration with ACHCS or HCPC Teaching qualification (T4T, D32) Experience Essential Minimum of 2 years post qualification experience.
Practical & formal teaching of Cardiac Physiologists and other HCPs Multi-disciplinary team work Desirable Tertiary cardiac physiology practise Invasive cardiac physiology practise Participation in cardiac research Skills Essential Competent to practise a wide range of cardiac physiology diagnostics and interventions.
