Job summary North Somerset Wellbeing provides free psychoeducational workshops, courses and group activities which are available to adults living in North Somerset.
These are run online and at community venues across the county.
The sessions are designed to explore, improve and maintain mental health and wellbeing.
In addition, brief 1:1 support can be offered to those requiring signposting to other appropriate services.
Main duties of the job The successful candidate will work collaboratively with clients / carers, the team and other agencies to manage risk where needed, including making safeguarding referrals if required.
In addition, you will assist with the recruitment and supervision of a small team of volunteers who support the service.

Job description Job responsibilities Co-produce the service with service-users and carers, valuing their input and lived experience and using this expertise to be involved in the service together, promoting and facilitating service user involvement and inclusion within the service and the community.
Assist with group work and courses to meet specific outcomes, reviewing activities and adapting as required Assist with the design, development and review of health, wellbeing and recovery courses and workshops, delivering these in locations across North Somerset.
Ensure the smooth running and development of wellbeing activities, ensuring all services are delivered in a warm and welcoming way, demonstrating ambition and hope for all service-users.
Person Specification Experience Essential Experience of supervising staff, students or volunteers.
Two years significant experience of working with people with mental health needs including supporting them to identify and achieve recovery goals.
Experience of working with people with multiple needs mental health, homelessness, alcohol/drug dependency.
Experience of delivering a range of either 1:1 or group work focused on skills development and / Recovery.
Desirable Proven experience of mental health issues and/or services, either as a user, carer or supporter.
