Utilising state-of-the-art, modern CNC Machine tools for producing high end parts and components & optimising design for machining / reverse engineering existing components with or without drawings, the company supports their customers with a diverse and challenging requirement from start to finish.
Due to continued growth and development, there is now a position open for a CNC Machinist, able to program on and offline CNC Milling machines using CADCAM software and Fanuc / Heidenhain controls.

Are you an experienced CNC Machinist (Programmer Setter Operator) looking for your next opportunity within a highly regarded company that puts its staff first?
Job Profile As the successful CNC Machinist, you will be working with the milling team to consistently produce superior-quality components using robust methods while maximizing machining efficiency and machine utilization.
Embrace continuous improvement to enhance production flow and quality outcomes, contributing to the company vision of becoming the engineering company of choice for both employees and customers.
Duties: Program, set and operate multiple CNC milling machines: Whenever possible independently devise work holding, working methods and machining processes.
Program and set 3, 4 and 5 axis machines using Fusion 360 - 3D and EZ-Mill 2D offline CAD/CAM software.
Follow standardised programming, tooling and program filing procedures.
At the end of shift, leave the next component ready to roll in the morning.
Consistently produce better than the norm quality of components: Use robust work holding and working methods.
Produce right first time first offs.
Conduct in process inspection to validate processes.
Produce finished components to be proud of.
Engage and participate in 8D-NCR investigations when required.
Maximise machining efficiency and machine utilisation: Always work to beat planned card times.
Continually test improving the efficiency of machining methods without compromising the stability of process.
Communicate and collaborate with team mates to maximize machines in-cycle and machine utilisation.
Always maximise daily in-cycle machining through utilising lights out machining.
Support colleagues and the team with sick or holiday cover.
Contribute with other departmental tasks: Complete bench work, tool fitting and other assembly work where necessary.
Setting and operating manual metal cutting machinery, e.g.
centre lathes, universal milling machines, and surface grinders.
Assisting with material deliveries and distribution where necessary.
Assist with cross training and mentoring junior staff members.
Good housekeeping.
Proactively contribute to the milling departments continuous improvement activities.
Play an equal part in the milling weekly L10 meeting.
Red flag issues and embrace opportunities for improvement.
100% completion of to dos within 14 days complete one Rock per quarter.
Work together with colleagues to cross train and upskill.
Follow ISO9001:2015 procedures and feedback systems.
Skills & Attributes: Able to Program Offline, using CADCAM software (ideally you will have experience with Fusion 360, but other software experience will be considered).
Working from engineering drawings.
CNC Miller, able to program on the machines, set and operate with Fanuc and/or Heidenhain controls.
Machining from various materials such as Aluminium, Plastics, Brass, Bronze, Copper, Tool Steels, Stainless, Titanium.
Machining to +/- 0.1mm in batches ranging from 1offs to 100s off.
Hours of Work: 41 hours per week 7:30am to 5pm Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 12:30pm Friday Overtime is readily available paid at x1.4hrs weekdays JBRP1_UKTJ
