Utilising state-of-the-art, modern CNC Machine tools for producing high end parts and components & optimising design for machining / reverse engineering existing components with or without drawings, the company supports their customers with a diverse and challenging requirement from start to finish.
Due to continued growth and development, there is now a position open for a CNC Machinist, able to program on and offline CNC Milling machines using CADCAM software and Fanuc / Heidenhain controls.

Are you an experienced CNC Machinist (Programmer Setter Operator) looking for your next opportunity within a highly regarded company that puts its staff first?
As the successful CNC Machinist, you will be working with the milling team to consistently produce superior-quality components using robust methods while maximizing machining efficiency and machine utilization. Embrace continuous improvement to enhance production flow and quality outcomes, contributing to the company vision of becoming the engineering company of choice for both employees and customers.
Program, set and operate multiple CNC milling machines:
Whenever possible independently devise work holding, working methods and machining processes.
Program and set 3, 4 and 5 axis machines using Fusion 360 - 3D and EZ-Mill 2D offline CAD/CAM software.
Follow standardised programming, tooling and program filing procedures.
At the end of shift, leave the next component ready to roll in the morning.
Consistently produce better than the norm quality of components:
Conduct in process inspection to validate processes.
Maximise machining efficiency and machine utilisation:
Continually test improving the efficiency of machining methods without compromising the stability of process.
Communicate and collaborate with team mates to maximize machines in-cycle and machine utilisation.
Always maximise daily in-cycle machining through utilising lights out machining.
Support colleagues and the team with sick or holiday cover.
Complete bench work, tool fitting and other assembly work where necessary.
Setting and operating manual metal cutting machinery, e.g. centre lathes, universal milling machines, and surface grinders.
Assist with cross training and mentoring junior staff members.
Good housekeeping.
~ Able to Program Offline, using CADCAM software (ideally you will have experience with Fusion 360, but other software experience will be considered).
CNC Miller, able to program on the machines, set and operate with Fanuc and/or Heidenhain controls.
Machining from various materials such as Aluminium, Plastics, Brass, Bronze, Copper, Tool Steels, Stainless, Titanium.
Machining to +/- 0.7:30am to 5pm Monday to Thursday
~Overtime is readily available paid at x1.4hrs weekdays
