We are seeking an experienced and motivated Air and Ocean Freight Operations Supervisor to oversee our freight operations.
This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day logistics activities, coordinating with team members, ensuring compliance, and achieving high levels of customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in freight logistics and leadership skills to drive process improvement and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities: Supervision and Leadership: Lead, train, and mentor a team of freight operations staff.
Monitor performance, provide feedback, and encourage a collaborative team culture.
Assist in hiring and onboarding new team members.
Operations Management: Oversee the daily operations of air and ocean freight shipments, ensuring on-time and cost-effective delivery.
Coordinate with carriers, vendors, and internal departments to streamline processes and resolve any issues.
Ensure accurate and timely data entry, tracking, and documentation for all shipments.
Customer Service: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates on shipment status and addressing inquiries.
Maintain high customer satisfaction by proactively identifying and resolving service issues.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners.
Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with all international shipping regulations, customs requirements, and company policies.
Review and manage necessary documentation, including bills of lading, customs paperwork, and freight invoices.
Conduct audits to verify accuracy and compliance.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years in air and ocean freight operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
