**Engineering Shipping Supervisor**

**What does the role involve?**
EMBS Engineering is working in partnership with a leading, growing engineering company that manufactures small to medium-sized precision components for a number of high-profile industry sectors such as Motorsport & Automotive and Defence.

As a Engineering Shipping Supervisor you will play an integral part of the business by leading the logistics and shipping teams to ensure parts are delivered on time and in full.
Responsibilities will include;
- Set up and manage preferred suppliers to ensure a streamlined approach
- Talk to freight forwarders to manage incoming and outgoing freight
- Monitor delivery performance to ensure best practices are being followed
- Work closely with internal and external teams to ensure deliveries are made on time
- Provide data and tracking reports to senior management

**Experience and skills required for the role include;**
- Minimum 5 years experience of working in a similar role where supply chain and logistics is key
- Strong leadership skills - must of managed a small team previously
- Engineering background within automotive, motorsport, aerospace, defence or similar manufacturing markets
- Technical knowledge of products within precision engineering
- Ability to multi task and deal with changing demands
- Confidence implementing streamlined processes
