(Please note the salary is Pro Rata) for part time hours.An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and dynamic individual to join the wide-ranging and forward thinking West of Scotland Cancer Network to act as the first point of contact, and to support the Network in driving improvements in the delivery of cancer care across the region.
Applicants should be flexible, accessible, efficient and effective to support delivery of our objectives.
This post is pivotal within the West of Scotland Cancer Network, based at Gartnavel Royal Hospital, providing comprehensive administrative and project support to regional workstreams and the Managed Clinical Networks (MCNs) for Cancer.
Duties will span organisation of education events; providing secretariat for regional meetings and following up actions; compiling reports; maintaining databases; and updating our website.
As well as general day-to-day office running and administration support.
This postholder will work closely with Network Managers and Clinical Leads and a key skill will be the ability to communicate in a clear and timely manner with a variety of colleagues, both clinical and non-clinical.
Applicants should have administration or project support experience, and an understanding of medical terminology and jargon would be beneficial.
Managing multiple tasks and switching quickly from one project to another is key to support the needs of the team.

However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
