Lead Web Developer - £100k - Remote - Market Leading Scale-Up Venchr's long standing client is a market leading yacht and multi-asset financial management platform designed for high worth individuals around the world.
This is a chance to join one of the most dynamic FinTech teams that is reshaping expense management and procurement for high-value sectors such as yachting, music, film, and sports.
We're looking for an experienced Lead Web Developer to take the reins on frontend architecture, mentor a skilled team, and build high-quality user experiences that streamline financial processes for elite clients.
If you have strong experience with Svelte (or React with an openness to transition to Svelte) and any knowledge of PHP backends (not must have but is a huge bonus), this is an opportunity to make an impact in a tech-driven, high-performance company.
Key Responsibilities: Technical Leadership : Guide and support a team of Frontend Engineers, providing mentorship, overseeing code quality, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Hands-On Development : Spend 50%-70% of your time actively coding, testing, and deploying user-centric features that drive product effectiveness and delight our clients.
System Maintenance & Evolution : Take ownership of existing frontend systems, ensuring they remain robust and adaptable to the changing needs of the business and client demands.
Backend Collaboration : Work closely with Backend Engineers, particularly those working with PHP, to ensure seamless integration across our platform.
Continuous Improvement : Lead initiatives to improve development processes, focusing on efficiency, code quality, and scalable architecture.
Innovation & Growth : Leverage the unique capabilities of Svelte to enhance our product's performance and scalability, meeting the specialized needs of our high-profile clients.
Skills and Qualifications: Frontend Expertise : Proficiency in Svelte (or significant experience in React with a desire to learn Svelte).
Leadership Experience : Proven track record of leading technical teams, with strong communication skills and the ability to mentor and inspire.
Technical Depth : Deep understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frontend architecture, with familiarity in modern build pipelines.
PHP Backend Knowledge : Experience working with or around PHP backends is highly desirable.
Remote Flexibility : While primarily remote, the role requires monthly travel to our Manchester office for collaboration and team building.
