Facilities Technician £35,000 to £37,000 (negotiable) plus benefits Facilities Technician is a permanent position based in St Ives, Cambridgeshire for a medium sized manufacturing company.
The Facilities Technician will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of manufacturing facilities, associated infrastructure and manufacturing equipment to ensure safe, timely and efficient operation of all plant machinery and equipment.
Key responsibilities for the Facilities Technician: * Maintain assets such as plant, machinery, property etc to ensure safe, continual and efficient business operations.
* Ensure that periodic and preventive maintenance are appropriately scheduled and accomplished and that troubleshooting, and maintenance support are readily available as needed.
* Update records of work activities, tasks carried out, parts used through stores and training given.
* Work closely with manufacturers, suppliers and internal departments in findings ways to improve process and increase machine reliability and performance.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience for the Facilities Technician: * Competence in plant operation and maintenance.
* Engineering, basic Electrical Mechanical and Hydraulic.
* General property maintenance knowledge and skills * Knowledge of plant operation principles, methods and processes.
* Able to handle day to day and strategic issues, operational requirements and management of manufacturing facility.
* Good analytical skills with sound problem solving.
* Microsoft office skills.
* Strong communication skills.
