Due to a healthy order book of profitable long-term growth, we have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Project Manager, from a civil engineering background to join our team.
As a key player in our organisation, you will be leading your team to deliver high-value projects, to the highest quality, safely, on time and in budget.
Here are just some of the activities you will be involved with… Work and lead a team comprising of Agents, Engineers, Works Managers, General Foremen, Technicians, and Operatives.
Manage excellent customer service and expectations.
Drive the delivery of the programming whilst maintaining high standard of Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality.
Ensure compliance our Management Systems and ensure the following plans are in place and updated for areas such as Construction Phase H&S, Environmental Management Plans, and Quality Plans.
Key involvement in the Cost Value reporting and forecasting together with the commercial team.
Administer the project in accordance with contractual terms and conditions.
Ensure all activities are supported by appropriate plans and RAMS.
Oversee waste management, lifting and temporary works activities, ensuring they comply with legislation and company procedures.
Conduct weekly site reporting and programming.
Foster a culture where everyone strives to meet customer and stakeholder requirements.
Promote innovation and value engineering.
We would love to hear from you if you can demonstrate… Substantial civil engineering project management experience on major projects, including highways, utilities, earthworks, and structures.
A detailed understanding of the Principal Contractor role, CDM working practices, Temporary Works, Confined Spaces, and Lifting Operations is essential, along with experience in various NEC3/4 contract conditions or similar.
Proficient in managing profit and loss (P&L) statements, with advanced communication skills and strong proficiency in MS Office.
A full UK driving licence is required, as well as a Civil Engineering qualification and SMSTS/CSCS or equivalent, such as NEBOSH.
Over 10 years of experience in civil engineering across various disciplines, with demonstrable leadership, programming skills, drive, and enthusiasm.
Building strong relationships, managing teams effectively, and meeting client expectations are key, alongside a commitment to HSEQ and cost and value management.
