Our client, a well-established regional law firm in Richmond, is seeking a dedicated Legal Secretary to join their Residential Property team.
This is a permanent, full-time position, though the firm is happy to consider candidates seeking to work four days per week.
Key Responsibilities: Provide secretarial and administrative support to a busy team of conveyancers and solicitors within the Residential Property department.
Assist with the preparation and management of property documentation, including contracts, transfers, and Land Registry applications.
Ensure the smooth processing of residential property transactions, including registering property with the Land Registry, ordering searches, and preparing completion statements.
Dictation typing and managing correspondence, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
Maintain client files and records in compliance with legal procedures and the firm's policies.
Handle client enquiries and provide excellent client service over the phone and via email.
Organise meetings, appointments, and assist with diary management.
Ensure deadlines are met and provide efficient administrative support to the wider team.
Key Requirements: Proven experience as a Legal Secretary within residential property and conveyancing (essential).
Familiarity with residential property transactions, including Land Registry procedures and property documentation.
Strong dictation and typing skills.
Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage a busy workload and meet tight deadlines.
Professional telephone manner and excellent communication skills.
Proficient in MS Office, case management systems, and other relevant legal software.
A proactive and adaptable approach to work in a fast-paced environment.
A positive attitude and a desire to work as part of a team.
