Quantity Surveyor Location: Mallusk Office Job Type: Full-Time Reports to:Operations Director Greenview Group is a leading construction services business specialising in mechanical & engineering, heating installation and maintenance, capital works and HVAC.
Greenview operates through three distinct delivery units Capital Works, Maintenance & Compliance & Residential Services.
With a reputation for excellence and a commitment to delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget, we are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support the execution of our Capital Works Northern Ireland contracts.
The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing all financial aspects across multiple construction projects simultaneously.
This role involves overseeing cost management, contract administration, and financial reporting for several sites, ensuring each project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Quantity Surveyor Job Description Key Responsibilities: Cost Management and Estimation: Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for multiple projects.
Conduct feasibility studies to estimate materials, time, and labor costs across different sites.
Monitor and control project costs to ensure they stay within the approved budgets.
Contract Administration: Manage the procurement process for multiple projects, including the preparation of tender documents and contracts.
Evaluate and negotiate contract terms and conditions for various projects.
Administer and manage contracts, ensuring compliance and resolving disputes.
Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present regular financial reports to senior management.
Analyse project costs and recommend cost-saving measures.
Provide financial forecasts and risk assessments for multiple projects.
Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, site managers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication across all sites.
Ensure consistent application of QS principles and practices across different projects.
Conduct site visits to monitor progress and verify cost and quality control.
Risk Management: Identify potential financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Monitor and manage variations and changes to the project scope and cost.
Stakeholder Management: Maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise in relation to costs and contracts.
Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure all projects comply with legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
Implement and maintain quality assurance standards and procedures.
Qualifications: Education:Ideally have Honours Degree in Quantity Surveying / Construction Management or in other related disciplines.
Applicants with HND/HNC or strong construction related experience will also be considered for the role Experience:Experience in Estimating / Quantity Surveying role within a Main Contracting organisation for at least 2 years Skills: Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
