Head of Human Resources Edinburgh (Office based with 1 day WFH).

Salary is up to £65K (DOE) + Bonus + other perks.

Alexander Steele is thrilled to be working exclusively with hospitality company in search of a HR Manager.
This position will be a strategic and operational leader, responsible for overseeing all HR functions across the organisation.
This includes employee engagement, recruitment, talent development, compliance, and performance management, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
The role requires a forward-thinking professional to lead a team in fostering a culture of inclusivity, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Main Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute HR strategies that align with company goals.
Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on HR-related matters.
Talent Management: Design and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
Oversee onboarding processes, ensuring new hires integrate smoothly.
Lead visa application processes for international hires, ensuring compliance with all legal and organisational requirements.
Employee Engagement: Lead initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture and improve employee satisfaction.
Conduct regular surveys and implement actionable engagement plans.
Learning and Development: Design and manage training programmes that support career growth and skill development.
Drive leadership development initiatives for high-potential employees.
Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure adherence to employment laws and regulations.
Handle employee relations issues effectively, ensuring outcomes align with company values and legal standards.
HR Operations: Oversee and ensure the smooth operation of payroll processes, maintaining accuracy and compliance.
Optimise HR systems and processes for efficiency.
Act as the primary stakeholder for General Managers of restaurants, providing direct HR guidance and support for operational needs.
Requirements: Education and Certifications: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
CIPD Level 5 or equivalent.
Experience: Proven track record in a senior HR role, ideally within a fast-paced or multi-site environment.
Strong experience in employee relations, talent acquisition, and performance management.
Familiarity with operational payroll management and visa application processes.
Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills.
Strong understanding of employment legislation and compliance frameworks.
Ability to influence and build relationships across all levels of an organisation.
Preferred Attributes: Ideally experience in HR within the hospitality industry.
Demonstrated ability to manage change in a dynamic environment.
Passionate about creating inclusive workplace policies and promoting diversity.
