We have an exciting new role for a Specialist Clinical Lead Nurse within our forensic inpatient teams.
We are seeking a committed individual that will work as part of the Clinical Leadership team to promote nurse-led psychosocial interventions and implement the vision for inpatient care.
The role also involves supporting the wider nursing team to develop their skills at delivering psychosocial interventions through supervision and working within multidisciplinary teams to provide effective needs led care for our patient group.
The successful candidate will have completed Brief Interventions Module (or equivalent) or be willing to undertake at the earliest opportunity.
You will receive regular supervision and will become part of a service that has a commitment to lifelong learning and personal development.
Main duties of the job To provide clinical leadership to a nursing team with a specific focus on the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nurse led psychosocial interventions to a group of patients.To provide clinical supervision for nurses in relation to the delivery of psychosocial interventions.As part of the ward leadership team, promote nurse-led interventions both among the ward nursing team and within the wider Multidisciplinary TeamTo support the Ward Manager and Matron in ensuring the quality of nursing care provided on the ward.To provide performance data relating to nurse-led psychosocial interventions, holding accountability for this performance supported by the Ward Manager and Matron.To provide both operational and clinical leadership when on duty.

This will require proactive engagement with patients/families and carers to build positive working alliances to support the provision of psychosocial intervention.
Together with key nurses and in the context of the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT), assess psychosocial needs using a range of evidence-based approaches and including families and carers where indicatedand appropriate.
In collaboration with the key nurse, communicate the outcome of assessments clearly, contributing to the team formulation.
Work collaboratively with the individual and their key nurse to produce a plan of care, promoting the implementation of brief psychosocial interventions where indicated.
