SEMH Teaching Assistant Job Opportunity At Protocol we are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) Teaching Assistant .
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with additional needs and who thrives in a supportive and challenging environment.
  Location: Morden Key Responsibilities: Provide tailored support to students with SEMH needs, helping them to engage with the curriculum and succeed in their learning.
Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support plans.
Work closely with teachers and other professionals to create a nurturing and structured environment that meets the emotional and academic needs of each student.
Support students in developing social skills, emotional regulation, and positive behaviours.
Monitor and report on student progress, ensuring that each child receives the appropriate level of support.
Qualifications and Skills: Previous experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs is essential.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support the well-being and development of students.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and follow guidance from senior staff.
