Job Description
Job Duties:
Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
Adapt teaching methods to meet individual learning needs and support students with emotional and behavioural difficulties
Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to students, parents, and other professionals
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student well-being and academic achievement
Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support students' holistic development
Required Qualifications:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Specialist knowledge and experience in teaching students with SEN, particularly those with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
Understanding of SEN Code of Practise and relevant legislation
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years' experience teaching students with SEN
Experience working in a similar role within a school setting
Knowledge and Skills:
Strong understanding of different learning styles and effective teaching strategies for students with SEN
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals
Preferred Qualifications:
Additional training or qualifications in SEN teaching or related field
Experience in supporting students with SEMH needs
Working Conditions:
Full-time position with regular school hours
Work primarily within a school environment, with some off-site meetings and training sessions

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
