Your Role as a Learning Support Assistant: As a Learning Support Assistant, you will: Provide dedicated support to students with special educational needs, focusing on their individual learning plans.
Assist in the delivery of tailored interventions to support communication, emotional regulation, and behaviour management.
Work alongside teachers to adapt lessons and resources, ensuring accessibility for all students.
Build strong, positive relationships with students, encouraging their confidence, independence, and engagement in learning.
Monitor and record student progress, offering valuable feedback to teachers and the SEN team.
Contribute to a supportive and inclusive learning environment that celebrates diversity and individuality.
Who Would Make a Great Learning Support Assistant?
This role is ideal for someone who: Has previous experience working with children or young people with SEN, including autism, ADHD, or speech and language challenges.
Is patient, empathetic, and passionate about helping students reach their potential.
Has strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teachers and support staff.
Holds relevant qualifications or training in SEN (preferred but not essential as additional training can be provided).
What You'll Bring: A proven track record of working with students with SEN in educational or similar settings.
An adaptable and proactive approach to meeting the diverse needs of students.
