Job summary We are is looking to appoint a dynamic and talented Healthcare Assistant within the Central Home Treatment Team.Home Treatment Teams provide an intensive community service to individuals aged 25 and above who are experiencing a crisis with their mental health.
We work within an MDT and are a fast paced and busy team.
You can expect to build upon skills of working in a pressured environment, responding and managing to crises and delivering short term interventions.
The successful candidates should be highly motivated, have an experience within mental health services, have a patient centred care approach to care and ideally have experience of working in an acute and/or urgent care.Home Treatment is a 24 hour service and staff will be working a shift system.
The current shift pattern is 08:00 to 16:00 (Early), 13:00 to 21:00 (Late), 08:00 to 21:00 (Longday) Team members will be expected to be rostered on these shifts as and when required.
Main duties of the job To assist qualified nurses in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the evidence based care required, including health promotion for a named service user/group.
To assist qualified nurses in the setting of quality standards, including the monitoring and reviewing in line with current clinical guidance practice and policy.
Responsible for reporting and recording any changes in the service users mental/physical/emotional/ state in the care plan, and to the qualified nurse/nurse in charge.
Working to the direction of the qualified nurse to ensure that the requirements of the Mental Health Act 1983 are observed, adhered to and implemented.
Support the qualified nurse in engaging service user's and carer's involvement with the service.
To assist qualified nurses in the establishment of therapeutic relationships with service users, and the implementation of evidence based therapeutic interventions with appropriate boundaries.
Perform delegated clinical/non clinical duties without the need for direct supervision.
To participate in multi-professional reviews and team meetings.
To follow the lone working policy when visiting service users.
To have access to a car and a full driving license.
