About This Role2.1 Why We’re Hiring an International Business Development DirectorWe see significant opportunities to extend BoardOutlook’s presence across North America. The region represents a significant opportunity to continue to expand our presence globally among the world's leading organisations. This role will be pivotal in building BoardOutlook’s profile in the US and Canada, forging senior boardroom relationships and driving adoption of our platform as trusted tools for improving board effectiveness.2.2 What Your First Three Months Will Look LikeIn your first 90 days, we expect you to:Establish trusted relationships with a panel of Chairs and Directors across North AmericaSecure at least ten SQLsRepresent BoardOutlook at industry forums and events to raise profile and generate leadsLeverage advocates and consulting firm relationships to accelerate introductionsProvide structured feedback to leadership on local market dynamics to inform strategy and product positioning3. About YouWe’re looking for someone with a strong track record in international business development and governance.You will bring:Significant experience engaging with boards and governance professionalsStrong understanding of how boards operate, typical challenges directors face and an understanding of the corporate governance environment in North AmericaExceptional relationship-building skills, credible with Chairs, Directors, and governance professionalsA proven ability to deliver growth in new markets and build trust at senior levelsStrong pipeline management and CRM discipline (HubSpot experience ideal but not a requirement)The flexibility and ambition to thrive in a fast-paced, global startup environment5. LocationThis is a global role. Our head office is in Melbourne, with a team in London, but you can be based flexibly. Regular international travel is expected.6. CompensationOur compensation package for this role is AUD$200k plus super and bonus. We also offer a generous ESOP (share option) grant for permanent employees. The ESOP gives employees meaningful financial participation and upside in the success of the business.7.
