Workshop Assistant

We are currently looking for a Workshop Assistant to join our team in Dyce, Aberdeen. This position is required for the general maintenance of our yards, supporting in forklift duties and help ensuring smooth running of our operations.Job ResponsibilitiesPerform all general housekeeping duties associated with the workshop, stores and offices.Assist with workshop preparation of components, units for dispatch to vendor or customer.Maintain appearance of outside yard space and car park.Carry out local deliveries and pick ups as required.Provide general handyman duties for the facility.Forklift duties as required.Duty of care in all HSE, Quality and Workshop ProceduresDevelop effective internal working relations within the Workshop and Stores & all internal functions in order to meet customer requirements and overall processProvide assistance to the Fitting Team Leader/Production Manager where requiredRequired Skills / KnowledgeFocussed on detailNumerical, Literacy and administration skillsFlexible, self- motivated and high levels of initiative- ability to handle multiple tasksCandidates should be prepared to work as part independently on their own initiative and as part of a team involved in a culture of continuous improvementGood communication skills essentialExperienceClean, full UK driving license.Forklift certificate - (minimum 10 tonne) preferable, not essential.Manual handling certificate preferable, not essential.Risk assessment and COSHH qualifications, preferable, not essential.Banksman Slinging, using an overhead crane certificate would be preferable, not essential.Education RequirementsNone specificPhysical RequirementsAs required to carry out the roleWhat We OfferExcellent company Pension schemeMedical benefits (Medicash)33 days Annual LeaveEthosEnergy is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
