Wind Sales Director – Wind Renewable Energy – UK - £Excellent + Package

Further expansion and global demand for their market leading renewable energy solutions has seen unprecedented global growth and the requirement to recruit a high-profile Wind Sales Director.


Role and Responsibilities

As a Senior Sales Manager/Director, you will be responsible for the wind energy business development and revenue growth in European markets. Wider duties and responsibilities include:

  • Be responsible for the Wind Energy business development and revenue growth in the UK market.
  • Able to independently develop new customers, grow the wind sales pipeline and mange key account customers relationships.
  • Develop wind energy service business strategy and grow the service business pipeline.
  • Partner with and lead internal function teams to close deals. Facilitate commercial negotiation with customers.
  • Stay on top of the latest wind energy market and power market development in the region, as well as competitive landscape change.
  • Develop mid to long term growth strategy for wind energy Service business in the UK.
  • Independently drive and manage end-to-end sale pipeline conversion, from sales leads development to cash collection, and support project delivery process.
  • Set-up and a sales team focusing on strategic wind energy markets.
  • Reporting directly into a key board member


The Person

  • Preferred 10+ years of Business Development and Sales experience, with minimal 5 years of relevant work experience in the wind energy industry.
  • Rich network and customer resources in the UK
  • In-depth understanding of wind energy fundamentals and power markets in the UK
  • Commercially acute and have good understanding of contract terms and negotiation skills.
  • A team-player.
  • Experience in working in multicultural teams.
  • Desire to work collaboratively in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in solution selling with track record of driving larger and complex deals to close.
  • Comfortable of working independently and remotely from HQ teams.
  • Able to travel >50% of the time.
  • Able to quickly appreciate the companies culture, get used to the way of doing business.
