Job Description

Propel is proud to be on an exclusive search for CRM talent specialised in SMS knowledge to help fuel their growth of this channel and to maximise engaging customer comms.


This is the first hire for this channel into the established CRM team, so ideally this role would suit someone with great SMS experience who can hit the ground running.


Alternatively, if someone has done some SMS work and is up to the challenge of taking it to new heights, this could be your golden opportunity.

  • Their marketing team is crucial to ensuring clear customer communications and timely offers that are personalised and tailored to suit their audience.
  • They now want to maximise the SMS/RCS channel to offer customer reminders and 2-way communications to increase engagement across different points of the customer journey.


The Opportunity

  • Join a successful marketing team to lead on building out and proving the value of SMS/RCS communications.
  • Analyse the whole customer journey to find key touchpoints that will benefit from SMS comms, whether it's appointment reminders, personalised offers, or an opportunity for interactive content with customers
  • Collaborate with the automation team for more technical work, as well as the core CRM campaigners for finding customer lifecycle touchpoints where SMS comms will benefit the journey
  • Build and spearhead the SMS strategy, considering how this may grow overtime and fit into the bigger picture of CRM and the customer lifecycle
  • You will be hands-on and involved across the team. You won't have any direct reports to start, but it is likely that this position may end up growing and taking on some management responsibility in the longer term.

Requirements:

  • Prior CRM experience across email marketing and customer lifecycle marketing
  • Previous retail experience is very desirable, or a similar customer-centric industry
  • Attitude is super important - this is a lovely team of people who are proactive, they roll their sleeves up and dive into their work head first Everyone is supportive, collaborative, and along for the journey of reaching the team's objectives.

Practical Info:

  • Location : Birmingham area
  • WFH : office 3 days, home 2 days
  • Compensation : up to £55,000 DOE + package
  • Contract: this role will be employed on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract, with the aim to go permanent once in-post
