Whether you are based in our research and development laboratory in Manchester or our commercial plant in Wallasey, you will have the freedom and autonomy to drive innovation and change.Role ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining new customer relationships and promoting our ethos of the customer comes first.You will take responsibility for developing a new sales funnel across the personal care and cosmetic industries in the UK & Ireland.Main focus on direct customer sales and deal closingIdentifying and targeting direct UK & Ireland customers, focusing on the personal care/cosmetics marketTravelling approximately 50% of your time to build customer relationshipsMaintaining and updating the CRM to build a global customer poolExecuting sales strategy to take biosurfactants to marketCollaborating with manufacturing to ensure product availability for customersFeedback market drivers to the CCO for commercially led product developmentMaintaining working relationships with all other staff to ensure effective co-ordination of all company activities in support of corporate objectives.Other tasks as required by your manager.Role RequirementsA successful Senior Sales Manager will have: Direct experience in consultative and technical sales of chemical raw materials (e.g. additives, modifiers, polymers, pharmaceutical intermediates etc) to either manufacturers, brands or distributors in the chemical industryDemonstrable contacts within the UK & Ireland chemical industryAn in-depth knowledge of diverse business functions e.g., supply chain, customer service etcAnalytical skills to evaluate data and performance/operation metricsA proactive approach and be driven by uncapped monthly commissionExcellent interpersonal and negotiating skillsDesirables: Experience working in a fast-paced start-up environmentA technical background, such as a relevant scientific degree or equivalentExperience with fermentations and/or surfactants.Built sales piplines from scratch to £1M + revenue in
