Ecommerce and Marketing Specialist – Museum – up to £35k + benefits (Dorset)
Our client is a highly regarded museum with a strong ecommerce function, looking for a creative Ecommerce and Marketing Specialist to join their growing team. They are seeking a creative Digital Marketer who can support promotion and digital marketing for the museum, to raise public awareness, collections, exhibitions, events and membership schemes. Benefits for this role include hybrid working (ideally 3 days in the office), 28 days annual leave (incl. bank holidays), pension, and a brilliant collaborative team.
As Ecommerce and Marketing Specialist, you will oversee product pages, with assistance of the Digital Marketing Executive, to ensure optimised copy and appropriate photography so an eye for aesthetics is a must You will create and curate seasonal collection pages liaising with web developers to maintain the Online Shop and develop the seasonal retail marketing plan alongside the Retail Team.
This role will utilise knowledge of managing digital advertising campaigns, email marketing and experience of working with online retail platforms, and understand the importance of using analytics to drive performance. You will create, monitor and control paid advertising, including PPC and display using GDN, Facebook and other platforms, alongside video content (YouTube Merch Shelf and TikTok Shop), with assistance of the Digital Marketing Apprentice. You will work with influencers and the wider media team, as well as the Inhouse Graphic Designer to oversee marketing campaigns.
What do I need?
- A passion for digital marketing and 2-3 years+ experience in ecommerce
- Experience using Meta and Google Advertising (Display, Shopping, YouTube and PPC)
- Strong analytical skills using data to shape future campaigns
- Understanding of web best practices, SEO and customer journey optimisation
- Experience with Shopify, WordPress and email marketing is a bonus
- Great communications skills and the ability to work across teams
- An eye for detail, with excellent copywriting skills
