Howdens is searching for a Senior Talent Development Manager to partner with our HR Directors to shape the future of talent and succession development across our 11,000-strong workforce, ensuring we remain ahead of the competition.

What will you be doing as a Senior Talent Development Manager:

• Lead the design and delivery of talent and succession development strategies, building a robust pipeline of high-potential individuals up to and including our Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
• Partner with HR Business Partners (HRBPs) to identify critical roles, assess future skills needs, and implement innovative programmes.
• Drive a culture of growth through coaching, mentorship, and tailored development plans.
• Develop meaningful career pathways and create high-quality learning experiences to engage and retain top talent.
• Shape our approach to succession, ensuring the organisation mitigates risk while unlocking potential.

• Strategic Talent Development: Design and execute succession programmes aligned with business objectives.
• Career Pathways: Build opportunities for colleagues at all levels to achieve their goals.
• Innovation: Create and deliver impactful, future-focused programmes using diverse methods, from secondments to mentorship.
• Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with senior leaders, HRBPs, and the wider business to embed a people-first strategy.
• Data-Driven Impact: Measure success through KPIs, ensuring all initiatives deliver clear outcomes and tangible business benefits.
