Sourcing Specialist
Remote - travel to see suppliers based in Birmingham, Bristol & North London
6 month contract - likely to be extended
£350 per day inside IR35

Job overview
We are proud to be supporting a global pooling solutions client recruit a Sourcing Specialist who will be responsible to identify suitable suppliers and/or partners to either support sub-regionally across service centres. Or to identify a one-size fits all partner and help with the integration. This is an end-to-end procurement role which will include strategy, negotiation & SRM.

Provide key support to the R&D project by researching and facilitating access to market solutions, while driving supplier-led innovations.

Report directly to the Strategic Sourcing Manager for Plant Equipment.

Assist the Plant Equipment Procurement team and Director with sourcing activities, analysis, and reporting.

Challenge conventional approaches and contribute transformative ideas to the team.

Manage and maintain strategic relationships with selected suppliers.

Oversee governance and performance management of chosen technology vendors.

Assist Procurement leadership with contract reviews and management, in collaboration with legal counsel.

Support the renewal and negotiation of existing agreements, and the establishment of new agreements.

Drive value improvements through process optimization and innovation initiatives.

Lead cost avoidance strategies to enhance overall procurement efficiency.

Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications:
Procurement of Capex machinery is essential.

Prior experience working within Food & Beverage, Logistics, Automotive or Packaging industries. 

Experienced working cross functionally with engineering stakeholders.

Able to read technical drawings would be an advantage.
