Our Magnet Technology factory in Eynsham, Oxford, is at the forefront of manufacturing high-tech medical imaging equipment used by healthcare professionals worldwide. As we plan for our move to our new factory, the Strategic Procurement T eam have an important role to play in equipping us for the future.

This 12-month internship placement offers extensive learning opportunities in procurement , along with valuable exposure to the medical device and healthcare industry It's an ideal chance to build expertise in procurement while working within a vital, fast-paced sector. We are looking for students who want to take on real responsibility during their year in industry, and who want to take advantage of a structured Intern Development Program.

Your role:

You will support the Procurement team in key activities, working alongside team members to develop your skills and contribute to team goals.
You will work with the Strategic Procurement Team, Commodity Managers, and Procurement Engineers in various tasks, gaining hands-on experience in procurement practices.
You will contribute to a digitalization project, helping to enhance productivity and efficiency across the organisation.
You will participate in sustainability initiatives within the Procurement team, learning how to incorporate sustainable practices in procurement.
You will have the opportunity to visit supplier sites to gain first hand insight into manufacturing processes.
You will have opportunities to build your network both within the organization and in the broader medical industry.
All of our Interns also participate in our 12 month Intern development program teaching softer skills such as communication, teamwork, and commercial awareness alongside the role.

About you:

You will be an undergraduate student currently studying a towards a bachelor's degree, and looking to complete a 12 month industrial placement or sandwich year as part of your degree.
You should be interested in digitalization and sustainability and keen to explore their impact on procurement.
You will have good IT skills (proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel minimum) along with strong written and verbal communication skills.
You will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
You will have a proactive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn and take initiative.

You must also have eligibility to work in the UK for the duration of the internship.
