Freelance Finishing Manager – Working with leading Tier 1 Main Contractor

Location: Abergavenny, Wales
Duration: 3+ months (with high potential for extension)
Start Date: Immediate

We are recruiting for a highly skilled Freelance Finishing Manager to join a prestigious Tier 1 Main Contractor on a large-scale new build school project in Abergavenny. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile development and contribute to delivering a top-quality educational facility.

Key Responsibilities

* Oversee and manage all aspects of internal finishing works, ensuring the highest quality standards are achieved.

* Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams to maintain progress and resolve issues promptly.

* Conduct thorough quality inspections, address snags, and implement remedial actions as required.

* Collaborate with the Project Manager and other site leaders to ensure project milestones are met.

* Maintain a safe, clean, and organised site environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

* Produce and communicate regular progress reports to senior management.

Requirements

* Proven experience in a Finishing Manager role, ideally on large-scale projects for Tier 1 contractors.

* Strong knowledge of finishing processes, materials, and quality standards.

* Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams.

* Proficiency in interpreting and working from technical drawings and specifications.

* SMSTS certification (mandatory).

* CSCS card (managerial level preferred).

* First Aid qualification is advantageous.

* work on-site in Abergavenny.
