Job Overview

Sphere Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Freelance Finishing Manager to join their team on a prestigious Tier 1 Main Contractor project in Abergavenny. As a key member of the site leadership, you will oversee all aspects of internal finishing works, ensuring the highest quality standards are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Oversight of subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams to maintain progress and resolve issues promptly.
  2. Conduct thorough quality inspections, address snags, and implement remedial actions as required.
  3. Maintain a safe, clean, and organised site environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
  4. Production and communication of regular progress reports to senior management.

Requirements

  1. Proven experience in a Finishing Manager role, ideally on large-scale projects for Tier 1 contractors.
  2. Strong knowledge of finishing processes, materials, and quality standards.
  3. Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams.
  4. Proficiency in interpreting and working from technical drawings and specifications.
  5. SMSTS certification (mandatory).
  6. CSCS card (managerial level preferred).
  7. First Aid qualification is advantageous.
  8. Willingness to work on-site in Abergavenny.

Estimated Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum based on location and industry standards.
