Client Details

Our client is a renowned leader in the Transport & Distribution industry, employing over 1000 staff across the UK. Their operations are primarily based in Oxford and they have a significant presence in the logistics sector.

This role requires a strategic Transport Manager who is capable of overseeing logistics operations in a fast-paced environment within the Transport & Distribution industry. Located in Oxford, you will be tasked with the efficient management of a large fleet and team, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Description

The Transport Manager will be responsible for the following

Oversee the overall logistics operations and ensure efficiency.
Manage a large team, promoting a collaborative working environment.
Ensure compliance with all transport laws and regulations.
Manage and maintain a large fleet of vehicles.
Develop and implement strategic plans to improve transport operations.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
Handle any logistics-related issues or discrepancies.
Report key operational metrics to senior management.Profile

A successful Transport Manager should have:

Transport Manager CPC National/International qualifications
Proven experience in a managerial role within the Transport & Distribution industry.
Strong knowledge of transport regulations and laws.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle logistics-related issues.Job Offer
