Ideally looking for Manufacturing / Production background

IOSH Qualified would be preferred

Will be working in a Manufacturing / Factory environment - ideally looking for a candidate that wants to learn and grow into a full QHSE role in the future

Training will be provided - NEBOSH can be supported - development in Health and Safety Management in the future.

The role will involve full exposure into Health and Safety - out on the shop floor - supporting the colleagues onsite and making sure that all Health and Safety processes are adhered to.

Will be supported by the Group Health and Safety Manager

Based in Swadlincote

Duties of a Health and Safety Coordinator

Following processes and procedures for all staff
Actively going on the shop floor
Implementing systems
Make sure that all the staff are following protocol, training and running tool box talks
Reviewing the safety of the site and ensuring any issues are actioned and resolved
Maintaining a safe work place
Ensure that the site meets all legal expectations.
Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety
Investigate accidents / recommend solutions to the issues Experience required for a Health and Safety Coordinator

Hands on approach / Proven Experience of a Health and Safety role
Manufacturing and production background preferred
An involvement in audits
Staff training and development
A can do approach to work - look for a solution to the problem and see it through
Good interpersonal skills / communication skills at all levels
Dealing with the facilities on site - to ensure they are serviced and scheduled
Ability to produce reports and develop relevant policies Details of a Health and Safety Coordinator

Days Monday to Friday - 40 hours per week - 8am to 5pm

Based in the Swadlincote area

£30k to £35k per annum

Permanent position
