Questech Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Planner to join the team at one of our well established clients based in North Lincolnshire.

The Role -

The purpose of this role is to have overall responsibility for the planning and scheduling of preventative and corrective maintenance activities within the maintenance operations team.

As Maintenance Planner, you will be the key communicator between production operations and the maintenance teams, ensuring that maintenance operations are carried out efficiently and in a timely manner.

You will provide analysis and insight into engineering operations to drive continuous improvement and work closely with the plant engineers and stores team to ensure adequate resource and spares are availability.

You will also ensure that maintenance & reliability programmes and project upgrades are carried out safely and efficiently to the required standard and within budget.

As maintenance planner you will be champion of our agility maintenance management ensuring all required information is in putted correctly and in a timely manner.

The Shifts –

Monday to Friday (Apply online only)

Salary –

£43,000 - £45,000 (DOE)

Responsibilities –

* Responsible for initial screening of incoming work orders, identification of scope, and analysis of required level of planning

* Conducts field walks to identify and document job requirements.

* Identifies specific safety hazards that will be encountered in the performance of the proposed work.

* Makes safety procedures, including lockout/tagout procedures available to employees; ensures that all aspects of the existing company safety policy are incorporated into the job plan.

* Estimates required hours on work order tasks, total work order duration, and skills required to perform the task.

* Plans jobs with appropriate level of detail for the given skilled trades workforce

* Procures equipment and specialized tools required to perform work.

* Gathers necessary engineering or technical documents, specifications, and drawings.

* Determines and arranges for parts required to perform the work.

* Compile’s information into a job package that is ready for skilled trades.

* Keeps bills of materials current

* Accurately measures the maintenance backlog in its various forms.

* Ensures all work orders and maintenance log items are closed when work is finished.

* Participates in outage planning activities such as scope identification and control, scheduling, coordination, risk assessment, execution, and continuous improvement.

* Participates with Reliability Department personnel on improvement projects, particularly when they are related to the proactive maintenance plan (CBM and PM)

* Compiles and delivers reports from CMMS regarding the work execution management process.

* Acts as the liaison between operations, maintenance, engineering, planning, and contractors with regard to the development of the weekly maintenance work schedule

* Participates in the scheduling process, attends scheduling meetings in order to communicate backlog and priorities, and compiles the information into the weekly skilled trades work schedule.

* Measures and takes actions to ensure the highest possible resource utilization in developing the weekly work schedule.

* Measures and reports on schedule compliance on a weekly basis – constantly seeking new ways to improve schedule compliance and wrench time.

* Communicates with maintenance supervisors on schedule changes and daily coordination issues.

* Documents and publishes the weekly work schedule following the scheduling meeting.

* Oversees the scheduling of proactive work to include predictive and preventive work and notifies the management team of shortcomings in the execution of these tasks.

* Provide required KPI’s as requested by the senior management team.

Required Experience –

* Extensive experience in heavy industrial maintenance

* Demonstrable Knowledge & Expertise in Maintenance Planning on Industrial Plant & Equipment.

* Strong technical, fault-finding and diagnostic skills, to find and alleviate root causes of problems.

* A team player who can lead others in the resolution of technical issues.

* CMMS experience

* Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude

* Supervisory experience is desirable.
