Estimator
My client in Thame is seeking an Estimator, Cost Engineer to join their successful and growing company. This newly created role is designed to support the Design Director.
The ideal candidate is not someone who wants to be "a designer" but can translate drawings and plans into what will be manufactured and what can be priced. The position is an office-based role.
Responsibilities include using CAD and related software to create bespoke designs that meet customer briefs, programming CNC machines using AlphaCAM, developing cutting specifications for foams, and sourcing fixtures and fittings for furniture assembly.
The role also involves space planning, creating 3D renders, estimating and preparing quotes, conducting site visits and templating, and liaising with customers to gather detailed project information.
Essential skills for this role include proficiency in SolidWorks, expertise in AlphaCAM, advanced Excel skills, and experience in the furniture manufacturing industry.
The ideal candidate will also be a team player, enjoy variety and challenges, be a problem-solver, and be prepared to "muck in" with whatever is needed, with an efficient approach. A clean driving license is required for client visits.
This is an exciting opportunity with lots of support and development so this could be the ideal position to take the next step.
The role is office-based, Monday to Friday, 8 am - 4 pm, with a salary of £35k-£40k
